Multifunctional Hedgerow and Food Forest Holton Road Talent, OR

This project was designed to provide multiple functions and products. There is a hedge of medicinal and edible fruits to screen the road. It was planted in a bare field and will provide fruits like currants and gooseberries in the short term to the long range mulberries, peaches, apples, plums, almonds and an overstory of chestnuts and pecans into the future.

This project was designed to provide a long term perennial food system. Over time other elements can be added like under story ground covers, animals for pest control and beneficial perennial flowers and medicines.
