Sacred Earth Design worked on this property over 4 years. The site is located outside of Boulder Colorado in the foothills at 7500′. The overall property was over 100 acres, consisting of mostly coniferous forestland. We focused the design attention on 2acres of land that was fenced in with an electric fence to protect the food forest from bears. The design included a food forest with over 50 hardy fruit trees and many fruiting shrubs and perennials. The other site elements included a fish pond with trout, bee hives, four season greenhouses, organic vegetable gardens, meditation areas, herbal and medicinal plant gardens, and a large diversity of berries.
